First- MEET THE OWNERS!
The owners of Apollo have been friends for almost a decade. Courtney worked in the clinical setting with Dr. Shomari Ruffin for 7 years which is how the two families met and became friends. They've turned their friendship into a successful partnership! This is a powerhouse team of four that lead Apollo!
Shomari Ruffin, M.D.:
Shomari A. Ruffin, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon. His goal is to address the patient’s lifestyle and injury when determining a treatment of an injury. This philosophy holds true in both his orthopedic practice as well as his occupational medicine practice.
He is a board certified surgeon and is qualified in the latest treatment advancements in both general orthopedics as well as sports medicine. He completed his Sports Medicine fellowship in 2014 at the renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham.
He is a Georgia native and graduated from The Marist School prior to graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and Psychology. He attended the Medical College of Georgia for medical school and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running, and attending UGA sporting events.
Camelia Ruffin:
Camelia H. Ruffin is the founder of the Ruffin Firm, LLC located in metro-Atlanta. She practices probate, guardianship, estate planning, real estate, elder law and medicaid/long-term care planning. She worked extensively in these practice areas in Florida for more than five years prior to relocating to Georgia. She has successfully litigated and negotiated contested guardianship and probate matters and understands the complexities involved in various estates.
Mrs. Ruffin is a member of the Atlanta Bar Elder Law section and is dedicated to assisting elders, families and the community through planning and solving problems that often arise.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, in 2009 from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.B.A. in Accounting in 2006 from the University of Georgia. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and Georgia.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running and reading.
The Ruffin Family resides in the metro-Atlanta area with their three children.
Tyler Stogner:
Tyler B. Stogner is an engineer by trade. He is a Project Manager at large construction firm based in the West GA area with prior employment as an Operation Manager for a large wire and cable manufacturing company.
He has dedicated his career to enhancing the engineering field and is the proud holder of a patent which he received in 2022. Although engineering is his passion, he is also fond of management and enjoys leading individuals to achieve both professional and personal goals.
Tyler graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
In his free time, he enjoys playing outside with his girls, wood-working, and grilling.
Courtney Stogner:
Courtney C. Stogner is a seasoned healthcare professional. She spent the last 10 years of her career in several different aspects of the healthcare workplace- from clinical responsibilities to marketing and business development. She now focuses her full-time career on Apollo Occupational Health to generate business growth, create and maintain meaningful partnerships, and promote a cohesive workplace atmosphere. She has a firm knowledge base of occupational medicine and workers’ compensation as well as OSHA standards.
Courtney graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and furthered her education at the University of New England with a Master’s degree in Public Health, summa cum laude, with a focus on healthcare administration.
Mrs. Stogner is dedicated to giving her time back to her community, especially the school systems. She is an active guest lecturer in Douglas County Schools, Carrollton City Schools, and Bremen City Schools as well as a volunteer for the P.A.S.S Program for Carroll County Schools and Partners In Education Program for Douglas County Schools. She is also a proud member of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Young Professionals Committee. She is also a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Industry/Workforce Council.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and traveling.
The Stogner Family resides in the West GA area with their two daughters.
